Job Description

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Appeals Department, working with Medicare and Medicaid patients, primarily Medicare. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing denied Prior Authorizations and forwarding cases to Pharmacists for final determination. Your duties will include reviewing the provided information, reaching out for additional details, and sending the case to the Pharmacists for a final decision. This position involves making approximately 60 outbound calls per shift to Medicare/elderly members with medications, mainly med/pharm medicine and injectables done at a doctor’s office, was denied.

Work Environment

This position is 100% remote, and candidates must work in a closed-door setting with limited distractions and be HIPAA compliant. A strong Wi-Fi connection and the ability to work remotely are required. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 6:30 PM in your time zone. You must be comfortable working weekends and holidays as part of a rotation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in customer service over the phone is necessary, as well as the ability to handle calls, control the conversation, and redirect if needed.
